Featured project: To Digitally Grow (SEO Portfolio Site)
A clean studio site that shows how I like to work. Simple sections, clear language and a direct path from the home page to the About, Work and Contact pages. Built to be easy to update and ready to grow as more case studies and resources are added.
Overview
Client: Myself – Timothy Arole
Project: Personal portfolio website
Stage: Live, evolving
This is the site you’re on right now.
I built it to give people a clear place to see who I am, what I do and how I think, and to use it as proof that I can structure and write a site with SEO in mind – not just make something that looks nice.
Objective
Give people a clear place to see who I am, what I do and how I think
Prove I can plan a clean site structure that makes sense to both users and Google
Show I understand positioning – who the site is for and why it exists
Demonstrate I can handle the on-page SEO basics: titles, headings, internal links, metadata and tracking
Make it clear that this first version is built on Squarespace for speed, but that future client projects will be fully custom coded so I can control the markup, schema and deeper technical SEO
SEO & Site Structure
I treated myself like a client and built the site around how people actually browse:
One clear main heading on the page that explains who I help and what I do
Simple flow from hero → what I do → featured projects → about → contact
Headings used with intent (H1 for the main idea, H2/H3 for sections and sub-points)
Copy written around real search intent (people looking for SEO, structure and web help), without stuffing keywords
Internal links from the homepage into key case studies, and back towards the contact / work-with-me sections
The goal is for the structure to make sense to a human first, and also be easy for Google to understand.
Technical Setup
This first version is built on Squarespace for speed, but I still treated it like a proper SEO build:
Custom page titles and meta descriptions on key pages
Checked and adjusted the heading hierarchy instead of letting the template decide
Clean, readable URLs where the platform allows it
Basic performance and mobile checks so it loads fast and reads well on a phone
Analytics connected so I can see which pages people visit, what they click and where they drop off
For client projects, I’ll be building fully custom coded sites. That gives me full control over the markup, schema and performance, so I can take the technical SEO further than a builder allows.
Impact & Next Steps
Right now this site gives me:
A link I can send to anyone that shows how I think and what I actually do
A live example of my approach to structure, copy and on-page SEO
A consistent layout I can reuse for future case studies
Next steps:
Add more projects using the same case study structure
Refine copy, layout and internal links based on analytics and feedback
Start adding fully custom coded builds as they go live, and break down the technical SEO work on those in more detail
This featured website is the live portfolio for To Digitally Grow, where I offer SEO-led web design and site audits.
